Wild wuchern
Marie runs frantically up a mountain. Fleeing from a world where much has fallen out of balance, she seeks refuge with her cousin Johanna, who has lived like a hermit for years on a remote alpine pasture in Tyrol. What begins is a struggle between the two women — for self-understanding, but also for a shared path forward. In her novel, which blends fairy tale, parable, and critique of civilization, Katharina Köller celebrates two women and their determined, unconventional leap into life.
