Hanno Millesi

Lives and works in Vienna. After studying art history and philosophy, he first worked as a research associate at the Museum of Modern Art in Vienna, before dedicating himself entirely to writing. He is the author of novels and short stories (as well as radio plays, essays, and collaborative projects). As an editor: Austropilot (together with Xaver Bayer). As a lecturer: Institute for Language Arts at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna.

Zur Zeit der Schneefälle

Inexplicably, the living room wall of the protagonist, Rainer, becomes permeable. A hole appears. As the wall continues to deteriorate, glimpses become possible in both directions. The sense of being overwhelmed intensifies for everyone involved. In their mutual observations, the neighbors are reflected—with all their everyday needs, misjudgments, and shortcomings—portrayed with a keen sense of situational comedy.
