Manfred Baumann
born in 1956 in Hallein/Salzburg, lives in Puch near Hallein as a freelance author, cabaret artist, director, and presenter. He worked for over 30 years at the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (ORF) as a presenter, program producer, and department head. He writes Salzburg crime novels featuring the charismatic investigator Martin Merana. Characters and themes from Baumann's novels serve as inspiration for the following TV crime dramas on ORF and ZDF: Drachenjungfrau, Das dunkle Paradies, and Flammenmädchen.
Salzburgkiller
is the name of the new satirical show by star cabaret artist Vincent Fleck, which revolves around artificial intelligence. However, the cabaret artist is found dead the day after the premiere. Detective Merana and his team investigate. But before they find any answers, another murder occurs. A lecturer on artificial intelligence at the university of applied sciences is murdered. And Merana wonders: Is there a killer on the loose in Salzburg who exclusively targets people involved with AI?
